There may be some who believe that the word for that we are using in this title for "shouting" can also be used as blowing. This helps substantiate the use of trumpets for this day. We have pointed out before that in the verses that discuss this day specifically do not include either of the 2 words that are used for trumpets in the Hebrew. So the argument is that it's justified to use trumpets because of translating Teruah as blowing would make it necessary to have something to blow. I think it is helpful to review the uses of the words to try to understand this day/Appointed Time more fully.

What is leaven? The easy answer that it is sin. Jesus in Luke 12:1 says "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy." So does this make leaven to be only hypocrisy? Today we are going to dig deep and see if leaven is just this broad definition of sin or maybe there is a better more inclusive definition or maybe it is that we need to understand how far-reaching sin can be.
