The devil was created as a beautiful creature, qualified and selected to rule the world. He corrupted his appointment through rebellion against God. He has declared war against God and his children and is committed to our destruction. After punishment by imprisonment for 1000 years, he will be released to continue his war against God and his saints. The end of that war will be the total destruction of Satan, his demons, and all that do evil.

Two are better than one, because they will have good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him that is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up.
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
