Biblical Understanding based on the Record of Scripture
Yehovah does not want us to live in a state of terror; in fact, the (chronically) fearful will not enter the Kingdom. However, too often we go the other direction and do not have a proper fear of our Creator. He has standards, and there are penalties for breaking His law. Knowing this should help direct decisions in our lives, every day.
"By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified" - spoken by Yehovah in Lev 10:3.
