Biblical Understanding based on the Record of Scripture
We see "the name of the LORD" referenced over 100 times in the OT. We also see these phrases: "the LORD my God", "the LORD our God", "the LORD his God" and "the LORD your God" used over 600 times in the OT, where "the LORD" is referring to YHWH. Who is your God? What is His name?
There are multiple ways we refer to God, from YHWH (typically translated as the LORD), El Shaddai (God Almighty), Elohim (God), Adonai (Lord), and more. Over 200 times we see God identify Himself as YHWH, including a few times where He says, "My name is YHWH." Should we be using His name in worship, in praise, and in calling to Him?
